大家好!
我叫朱硕杰，是汝城县天仙风景旅游区负责人。今天，作为助人为乐道德模范的代表在这里发言，我既感荣幸和自豪，又感到惭愧和不安。其实，我只是做了一个普通人该做的事情，党和人民却给了我郴州市“劳动模范”、郴州市“道德模范”等许多荣誉，这些荣誉称好是一种褒奖，更是对我的心灵洗礼。
我是上个世纪60年代出生的，由于家境贫寒，12岁便辍学在家务农。23岁那年，我被招工进了邮电部门做了一名乡邮递员。从此，从汝城县城到东岗岭背的那条乡间邮路上，便时常可以看到一个背着沉重包裹的瘦弱身躯。这是县里最远、最难走的邮路，翻山越岭一个来回有八、九十里，但为了乡亲们能及时收到信件，无论刮风下雨，还是下雪冰冻，我从来没有耽搁过。邮递员的工作一干就是好几年，尽管辛苦，每当把信件、电报送到乡亲们手里，看到他们高兴的笑容时，再苦再累也变得快乐无比。
1996年，一个机缘巧合，我发现了位于县城附近的石灰岩溶洞。当看到洞内自然天成的岩石风光后，我毅然辞去了工作，倾尽所有，并从银行贷款20万元，全身心投入了旅游开发事业。我一边开发景点一边植树造林，实现了景区及周边环境的全面绿化，经过多年的苦心经营，一个初具规模的旅游景区展现在世人面前。现如今，景区每年接待游客约14万人次，提供劳动就业岗位20多个，为汝城群众休闲娱乐提供了一个绝佳的场所，为汝城的旅游事业尽了一份心力。
也许是因为来自农村，经历过苦难，所以我看到别人有困难就想尽力给予帮助。在做乡邮递员期间，每当我看到农村的一些孤寡老人，孤苦伶仃、生活无人照顾苦不堪言的时候，我的心就会隐隐作痛。从1980年起，我便义无反顾地开始照顾附城乡的一位高位残疾的孤寡老人和三星镇的孤寡老妪何从发，尽管那时自己的收入有限，无法给老人优厚的物质条件，但我还是尽自己所能，哪怕自己少吃一顿，也不让老人饿着，直到两位老人安详去世。
如今，我的事业有了起色，也许在外人看来，我是老板，但是我一直用一颗朴素、本真的心，为需要帮助的人做些力所能及的事，这已成了我生命的一部分。直到现在，我还照顾着6位孤寡残疾老人。我曾在寒冷的冬天，跳进河里去救过落水的学生，曾冲进火海救过人，曾在马路边救过中暑的青年。印象最深的是10月1日晚上8点左右，我和工作人员在天仙风景区正准备吃晚饭，突然有两个小伙子神色慌张地跑到景区求救。原来是几个中学生一起骑自行车到同学家去玩，回家途中，马桥乡西腊村的朱忠秀同学在下坡时，自行车撞到了路中间的障碍物，自行车的车把插进了朱忠秀的腹中，肚皮被划了一个很大的口子，肠子都漏了出来。当看到小伙子痛苦的表情，我不容分说地迅速组织景区工作人员将小孩送进了医院，并自己先垫上了医疗费。如今，小伙子朱忠秀已经完全康复，外出打工多年了。
俗话说“送人玫瑰，手有余香”，每一个爱心与善举，在给予他人帮助的同时，也会换回内心的快乐。这么多年过去了，当被自己尽心照顾帮助的老人一个个安祥离去;当看到曾经挽救过的生命，幸福快乐地生活;当那些受助的人逢年过节到家中聊天叙旧;当自己的付出得到周围人的赞许……我帮助他人的心，就变得越来越快乐，越来越坚定。特别是当我看到很多曾经的受助者，也向他人伸出了爱心的双手，我感到无比的欣慰。这些年，我萌生了一个想法——组织一个团队，让更多有爱心的人走到一起来，让爱的种子四处播撒、开花结果。为此，我多方奔走，积极联络。今年7月，在县文明办、团县委等单位的支持下，汝城县志愿者联合会终于正式成立了。目前，志愿者联合会会员达1000多人，联合会分有爱心协助、社区服务、环保绿化、爱心捐助等10个小组。1000多位“传播爱的使者”，深入到当地百姓生活的方方面面：我们组织了多次帮助孤寡老人的义工活动;参加了“生态汝城建设志愿者服务活动”;开展了义工争当“文明交通劝导员”活动;进行了城市清洁大扫除活动……。在全体志愿者的努力下，这个团队的影响力越来越大，加入这个团队的人也越来越多……
